How PNI helps:
PNI shows how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems. By regulating the stress response (e.g., through breathwork, mindfulness, guided imagery), individuals can:
- Reduce distress → calming the nervous system
- Lower inflammation → via hormonal and immune shifts
- Prevent or ease chronic disease → by breaking the stress-inflammation loop
PNI empowers people to interrupt the stress → inflammation → disease cycle, helping to restore balance and promote healing.
We can:
- change the way we think to change the way we feel.
- aim to self care by being assertive.
- be part of the wellness process and pro-actively seek health.
- educate ourselves - learn more about the body and psychoneuroimmunology.
- attain the self esteem which is associated with overcoming the challenges of life.
- review our options and build a unique program of personal wellness.
- take control, by being proactive and self educated.
- aim to understand why we feel the way we do.
- build a health intervention program specifically for ourselves.
- manage our mind by managing the body and vice versa.
- recognise the physical symptoms that are the counterpart of emotional stress and strain.
- combine our healthcare treatment.
- view stress as something that is wanting to help not harm us.
Motivation and Accountability.
In our modern world there is a vast resource of information available to us regarding health and wellness. Education has never been so freely available, this is a good and bad thing. We can self educate and make informed choices about the decisions that we make. On the other hand we can become information passives with little accountability. Often times we may read without consolidating the information that we have attained so the value of the learning lacks focus and relevance.
We can view stress as a way to be well.
The certification process is not simply designed for adding business credibility or for information consolidation purposes, it aims to encourage; personal development, pro-activity - and an understanding of self-efficacy as we take responsive action to what we learn.
Accountability is being the role model of change, share infomation is clear, conscise actionable way. We all deserve to be our best.
